Combining two or more sources of funding support while separately tracking and reporting on each source of funding

Community-Based Organization (CBO)
Also known as nonprofit organizations. The mission of these organizations is usually focused on a particular need(s) within the community and operates offices or locations within the community. Some community-based organizations prioritize citizen representation on the board or committees.

Ecosystem
A network of businesses, colleges, communities, chambers and other partners that resemble an ecological ecosystem due to its complex, interdependent parts

English Language Learner (ELL)
A term used to describe a person who has a native language that is not English and is learning the English language

Institutional Team
A group structure in which all participants are held equally responsible for the quality and success of the project. They must be willing to switch roles when the need arises, doing whatever is necessary to ensure the project’s success.

Key Performance Indicator (KPI)
A quantifiable measure of performance over time for a specific objective that provides targets for teams to shoot for, milestones to gauge progress and insights that help cohorts make better decisions.

Labor Market Information (LMI) 
Any information related to the workforce to include labor force, employment, and unemployment estimates, occupational wages, projected job growth, educational attainment and requirements. 

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
A document that describes the broad outlines of an agreement that two or more parties have reached.

Personal Private Information (PPI)
Types of sensitive information that must be protected and used in a manner that protects an individual’s right to keep information one’s own. Examples of PPI can be found here.

A recent immigrant to the United States or the child of a recent immigrant

Qualitative data
Descriptive and conceptual findings collected through questionnaires, interviews, anecdotes and oral history, or by observation

Quantitative data
Statistics or numerical information relating to or involving the measurement of quantity or amount

SWOT
A strategic planning and management framework used to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats related to project goals and collaboration in a team setting
